Second Day
At His feet. Where I long to be, everyday, every hour. Where He meets me with strength and a nail-scarred hand to hold onto, in the joy filled moments, and on the heart wrenching days.
The cross symbolizes the ultimate sacrifice that was made for you and I. At the cross, Jesus took our place, wearing all of our dirty rags, giving us life and life eternal through His blood.
On the second day, all hope seemed lost. Death looked as if it had won. If we’re honest, we have all had “second days” in our life. Days where we are convinced that we are going to be left hopeless. Days where our hearts shatter and things just don’t make sense. We find ourselves in situations we would never want to find ourselves in. There are tears. Hurting hearts. Clinched fists. Screams. Confusion.
But Jesus. He, clothed in majesty, rose from the grave the very next day, ruling over death, over all of the “second days” we find ourselves enduring. While there may be weeping, laughter is sure to come because of the hope we are given through our Savior.
Today, we can take courage knowing that we have victory in Christ.

Bought with the precious blood of Christ.”
