Be Still
"Be still."
Something that seems almost impossible for me on most days. Whether it's mentally, physically, spiritually or emotionally. I tend to fill my schedule before I even realize it. In this fast paced world that we live, it's hard to be still. When our minds start wonder and worry, it takes work to get out of that mindset, so we often times just sit in it. We allow those thoughts to take captive of our life and before we know it, worry is like 2nd nature. I bought this journal several months ago not knowing how important the saying on the front would mean to me these days. It is something I'm still learning, and probably will be for the rest of my life. But because of Jesus, I can already claim victory over my struggles. We tend to worry about things and only try to distract ourselves, or not even deal with it because we know it is sin. Instead, I want to deal with those thoughts and know that even if "this" or "that" happened, God is good. We are human. Worry will enter our minds at some point. It's up to us as to whether or not we allow it to rule our thought life. This is how we conquer anxiety and worry. We have to believe that He is good all the time.
