It's about Him

Marriage= designed by God to be a team effort, from the moment of being pronounced husband and wife, to the moment of death.

Marriage isn’t about me. It isn’t about you. It’s not about being “happy” or making your spouse happy. Yes, these are things that should come with marriage, but should not be our ultimate goal. Marriage is about sanctification. It’s about holiness and purity. It’s about pointing each other to Christ. It’s about saying I’m sorry, with a sincere heart. It’s about saying I forgive you, with an honest heart.

It’s about walking hand in hand, letting God guide you each step of the way. It’s about choosing to love when it’s easier to be distant.

It’s about letting the Holy Spirit be the spark that ignites that fire in your relationship that you’ve been so desperately needing.

It’s about letting go of that bitterness and letting the sweet grace of God soften your heart. 
It’s about choosing to do that, over and over again.

Marriage is about Him. It’s meant to glorify His name, now and forever more. It’s about helping the other become the person that God so carefully crafted them to be. -

Marriage is about dancing not only on the mountain top, but in the valleys, too. Because in Christ, we have the victory. He is on our side, cheering us on, and will never let go, or give up. So let’s not give up on each other, for He is our strength.
